What is Structured Literacy?
clear, direct, cumulative instruction
Some children learn to read, almost effortlessly.
Most children need to be taught the building blocks of reading, by teachers or parents.
Many children need repetitive, supportive, direct instruction—that’s where I come in. Using both print-to-speech and speech-to-print strategies, I use research-based methods to teach your child to read. I make it super fun, while staying focused, and documenting progress.
Reading doesn’t emerge from chaos—we’ll work on it, step-by-step.
And you will hear your child read.
We offer comprehensive informational reading and writing screenings.
We teach reading and spelling techniques with movement and confidence.

Literacy Screenings
Literacy Screenings
We offer in depth screening sessions for children ages 5-17 and for college students. These sessions provide parents with a comprehensive profile of their child’s reading and writing development.
Summer Sprints
Summer Sprints
We create creative and research-based lessons to explicitly, directly, and systematically teach your child to read, spell, study, and write. For Summer we operate in one-week intensives.
