Change can be exciting.  Change can be scary. Usually, it is both, at the same time. That can be overwhelming and can sometimes lead to anxiety with physical and mental symptoms. 

For kids, common changes involve changing schools, moving, and making school decisions. If your child seems overwhelmed by an upcoming school change we can work together to manage those anxieties, develop pro-social and pro-school strategies, and loosen up fixed or repetitive thinking. Short-term solution focused psychotherapy leading up to or during transition periods can help kids adjust with resiliency.
